| Picture this. You
walk through the entrance and see most or all of the end wall covered
in photographs, however, they are not just photographs. There is
a pattern emerging - a sound wave. Before you can reach the wall
to see all the photos (up close and personal), there are six booths
to visit. Each booth concerntrates on a specific band that has been
quite active in the Darwin contemporary music scene. At the centre
of each booth stands a pedestal containing a discman playing the
music of that particular band. On the walls of the booths photographs
are displayed of the band performing, close-ups etc. Entering
the booths allows the viewer to become an audience participant
of a gig.
The photographs on the end wall are of various musicians and
bands playing at gigs around Darwin between 2000-2001. Black and
white and colour photographs feature on this wall.
